The Safety & Health Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the mill specific safety & health process as mandated by state and federal regulations. This position supports the management team in developing safety strategies along with safety management systems and procedures designed to prevent injuries. This position reports directly to the Mill Manager.
Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians install, service, troubleshoot; and perform preventive and predictive maintenance functions on equipment. This includes plant lighting equipment and receptacle circuits, motors, starters, motor control centers, programmable controllers, control panels, electrical control systems and transformers. They may also service high voltage electrical systems, and ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. They repair, test, adjust, calibrate or install electronic equipment, such as industrial controls, and transmitters. They also maintain Distributive Control Systems.
The Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor’s core responsibilities are to work with production and maintenance teams to effectively plan and prioritize electrical work, instrument work and special projects with safety as the number one priority. He/she will establish and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors and purchasing to effectively coordinate delivery of services, equipment and supplies. He/she will also establish appropriate job plans that optimize maintenance efficiency and job performance and develop preventive maintenance and equipment condition monitoring programs.
